FAQ

Must I possess a pilot license to be able to participate in a supersonic flight?
No. Our customers range from experienced pilots to those who have never flown before.

How old must I be in order to participate in the supersonic flight?
You must be at least 18 years old.

May I participate with a partner or with my loved-one in a supersonic flight?
Yes. It is possible to reserve two machines for you and your partner. The two machines will then complete a tandem flight in a specified way. If a tandem flight is not possible, due to special circumstances, you will fly behind each other.

Do you offer also a combination package with several jet fighters?
Yes. You can make a several reservation packages.

What kind of attire is appropriate?
It is recommended that you bring clothing appropriate for the season. Sturdy shoes or boots and leather gloves are recommended. The winter requires warm clothing, warm boots, hats and gloves. Skirts/dresses are not suitable at the Air Base.

What happens if I get sick and can’t arrive?
We highly recommend you take out travel insurance for your trip in case you are prevented from attending due to illness. Then your out of pocket expenses may be covered by your travel insurance.

Will I get sick during a flight?
Most likely not, provided you follow our simple guidelines. Less than 5% of people are actually ill during a flight. We ask that you avoid alcohol for 24 hours before the flight. Eat light meals at the usual times on the day of the flight. Also avoid taking anti nausea medication, as it tends to make you sick.

Are cameras allowed at the Air Base?
Yes, but because this is an active Air Base facility, some restrictions may apply. You will generally not be allowed to take a camera with you into the cockpit. However, Discovery Tour will make every effort to provide you with a complimentary ground video and digital photo of your flight. Due to security restrictions, we cannot guarantee this service.

Are the supersonic flights expensive?
Relatively speaking, they are not. Cutting-edge jet fighter cost, fuel, scheduled maintenance, insurance, and all services which are provided at the Airbase for flight by the state personnel (technicians, engineers, ground navigators, other Airbase staff) etc. are all very expensive. Every jet fighter has a very strict limit of life and when it is all used up, the jet fighter can no longer be flown. These are not private ex-military jet fighters or former military airplanes operated by a group of private owners or by a private company. These are government property war aircrafts operated by the Department of Defense of the Russian Federation. All of these factors must be calculated into the cost of supersonic flight.
